Sick little boy

So it's been a while since I last posted. Things have been very busy. Mike's dad was in town again from Florida last week and we had a great time. Drew loves hanging out with them. They watched Drew for a few days, which gave the sitters a break (I'm sure they appreciated it.)

Drew is now trying to crawl. He does this silly move where he lifts up his butt and pushes forward on his forearms....it's kind of like that move soldiers do in boot camp while crawling under the wire fences, but either way he's starting to move. He also loves the sound of his own voice. He's discovered that he can make different noises and get different reactions. If he screams really loud, mommy comes rushing to him and then he giggles. If he makes a low moan, daddy makes funny faces at him and then he giggles, if he makes a long-drawn-out howl the dog comes over to him and he giggles.....you get the idea.

Monday night Drew started acting funny. He wasn't his loud-happy self. He had a small fever and spent most of the night awake crying. I took off work Tuesday and took him to the doctor, what a nightmare!!! What I thought would be a short visit, turned in to more than three hours of test, turns out my little man has a virus. He'll be fine after taking his medicine for a few days, but let me tell you having him sick is not fun, I'd much rather be the sick one, he's so little and helpless and it makes me feel so bad. But luckily it's nothing serious. The good thing about the doctor visit is we found out our chunky boy is now 17 pounds 2 ounces.....WOW!
